Katak-support provides an installation script that automatically populates database tables and configures the correct settings in the ktk-config.php file.

  • First of all you must create an empty database and a database user. For security reasons, use a MySQL server account with the minimum privileges required - not an administrative account and not an account that can also access other databases.
  • Download and decompress the software.
  • Move all the directories and the files into the web server's document root or your public HTML directory.
  • With an internet browser go to www.yoursite.xx and follow the instructions.

Post installation setup

  • Go to www.yoursite.xx/admin and log in as administrator.
  • Click on Admin Panel.
  • Go to Settings and set the system preferences.
